The Rye socks are warm and snuggly, much thicker than average socks. They are squishy and soft and the best part? You can knit them up so much faster than a sock weight pair, and they are sized for the whole family!
Hunter had a great time with Emmy and Juju (her names for Emily and Jordan) romping around the docks in Tofino in her pair.
::: Learn How to Knit Socks :::
I often teach classes on how to knit socks. Socks can seem so intimidating, even to people who have been knitting a while. Something about that heel turn seems like magic, or some sort of knitting trick. It’s not magic, or even very tricky of course, and we will take the mystery out of socks with Rye! If you have tried knitting in the round on DPNS (or magic loop), you can learn to knit a sock! [Check out the full tutorial here]

::: The Yarn :::
These socks are the very first project we have designed with yarn from the Plucky Knitter. While we adore Plucky Primo Worsted, we felt a harder-wearing yarn would be better for socks. We chose Plucky Sweater, and it did not disappoint! With Plucky’s staggering array of vivid colourways, who could ask for more for a wonderful pair of thick warm socks?
