How to Read a Colourwork Chart

Only 6 more sleeps ’till Christmas, and I must admit, I am not the most organized of holiday creators… so I’m scrambling to put together a few last-minute knits to add to my crop of gifts this year!

Fancy Balls

Fancy Balls and Little Sock Ornaments… two perfect holiday patterns!

Alexa just showed off her adorable rainbow of little socks [check out this post!], but you can also try our Fancy Balls – a free pattern from Great White North!  You can mix and match colours, knit them in any yarn you like (we made ours in Indigo Moon Superwash Merino Fingering).  High-contrast combinations work best!

Other patterns from GREAT WHITE NORTH:

Drift Shawl
Bon Bon HatBon Bon MittensLittle Socks
Drift Shawl
Tall Dark and HandsomeSnowflake Sweater

Following Tin Can Knits standards, all the patterns in Great White North are sized from baby to grandpa; so you can make matching hats, scarves, and cowls, and mittens for the entire family.  We have included some very simple patterns that would be perfect for new knitters, as well as more complex and challenging knits like snowflake and drift.

Who doesn’t love ‘Red Is Best’?
