Picture it now: 2 tired and sick pregnant ladies writing a book with an 8 hour time difference&#8230;it was epic.\u00a0 The best part though? Baby knits!!!<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shortly after Bodhi was born I became completely obsessed with the idea of matching sweaters. I&#8217;ve always been a fan but it was suddenly a very pressing need. Jonesies&#8217; <a title=\"Caribou Cardigan by Tin Can Knits\" href=\"http:\/\/tincanknits.com\/pattern-RT-caribou.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caribou sweater<\/a> was hot off the needles, so while we were on a photoshoot in the Rockies I cast on for the Bodhi size. It was only a couple of skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, no time at all really&#8230; the same amount of knitting as a hat right? When that was blocking my fingers got itchy. I&#8217;d already knit 2, what was one more? Thus this picture was created!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Alexa does excessive amounts of baby knitting :::<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a title=\"Caribou Cardigan by Tin Can Knits\" href=\"http:\/\/tincanknits.com\/pattern-RT-caribou.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-top:15px;margin-bottom:15px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/tincanknits.com\/images\/RT-caribou-16b.jpg?resize=601%2C458\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"458\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next I had the brilliant late night idea (you might know how that goes) to start a <a title=\"Road Trip by Tin Can Knits\" href=\"http:\/\/tincanknits.com\/collection-roadtrip.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Road Trip<\/a> wardrobe for Bodhi. She suddenly seemed (in the August heat) like she might need a hat..maybe <a title=\"Stovetop hat by Tin Can Knits\" href=\"http:\/\/tincanknits.com\/pattern-TCK-stovetop.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stovetop<\/a>&#8230; and what about a <a title=\"Prairie Fire by Tin Can Knits\" href=\"http:\/\/tincanknits.com\/pattern-RT-prairiefire.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prairie Fire sweater<\/a>? Well, I had to make another Clayoquot Cardigan to create our <a title=\"Steek!\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.tincanknits.com\/2014\/09\/18\/steek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steeking tutorial<\/a> (no, a swatch certainly wouldn&#8217;t suffice), and Apple Pie needed a tutorial too&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It seems there may be more matching knits in their future too, since I mainly choose earthy colours I really only need to knit the Hunter sized version, the other two will happily wear the hand-me-downs.
