The Kaleidoscope blanket has an excellent asymmetrical fringe feature that eliminates the need for weaving in ends! To create this fringe you are going to tie two strands together in an overhand knot at the end of every wrong side row.
How to work an overhand knot:
Here’s my little swatch with overhand knots at the end of the row. Once you’ve finished your blanket you can add a second set of knots, creating an excellent retro fringe effect. Check out our tutorial on creating this second set of knots here.
It’s even better in the app!
You can also use the Kaleidoscope blanket pattern in the Tin Can Knits app. See only the instructions for the size you’re working on and help is just a tap away. Give the Tin Can Knits app a try!
