The tradition continues! This year the cousins are all dressed in Gramps sweaters for September.
Jones’ September sweater is Strange Brew at it’s simplest. I chose some small motifs and worked this sweater from the bottom up, following the pattern exactly.
Emily whipped up this wedge chart as an example, but I just had to knit it! Hunter’s September sweater is a classic Strange Brew wedge design.
When knitting for kids it is always advisable to knit a little bigger rather than a little small (more wear for your hard work right?!). However, for newborns, it seems you can’t knit small enough, and they fit for about 5 whole minutes.
This is definitely my most epic of knitting traditions: a whole family of sweaters, ready for September!
In the summer of 2015 Emily R and I had an idea: we should knit matching sweaters for our kids! They are cousins after all, and who doesn’t love a good matchy photoshoot right?
