Here at Tin Can Knits we have had a busy summer. We have only recently emerged from our homes, pasty and undernourished, to reconnect with friends and family who haven’t seen us in weeks! But our efforts have been fruitful, and we are proud to introduce Pacific Knits: 18 irresistible earthy knits.
Pacific Knits is a collection inspired by the landscape, lifestyle and people of Canada’s Pacific Coast. Growing up here we have been inspired by both our natural surrounding and the quirky cultural anomalies that we see around us. From outdoorsy men camping in the rain forest to hipsters strolling down Main Street there is so much to love about this place.

One of our faves from the book is the Low Tide Cardigan, and it seems that the people agree! Due to popular demand we have decided to pre-release this little number, so you can knit it while it’s still hot out! Low Tide is a summery little cap-sleeved cardigan with simple but exquisite lace panels at the bodice.
It looks complicated, but is really quite simple – try it and see! The seamless design is sized from baby all the way to 4XL, and is adorable on wee ones and elegant in large sizes too: we love how it looks on our beautiful (pregnant!) model. It’s only $6, and is available now, and better yet, if you purchase Low Tide for $6 now you will receive a coupon for the rest of Pacific Knits for only $9 in September. For all pattern information and to purchase, click here.
Pre-release not enough PK satisfaction? We are offering the Antler toque as a free pattern. Try out the stitch then knit yourself an Antler cardigan to match! The hat sizes from baby to adult and is a simple pleasing earthy knit.
Well that is all for now. We will let you know more about the book launch in Vancouver soon enough – we hope our local knitters will all attend!
