I was once the queen of the big idea…but I see Michelle coming in my rear view mirror! In case you aren’t sure who Michelle is, she is my sister-in-law and she is also a fabulous knitter. She hasn’t been knitting long, but she has taken it up with gusto. You can read all about her rapid rise to pro-knitter status here. Michelle’s most recent epic knit is her family of North Shore Sweaters!
Michelle had a grand plan to knit coordinated sweaters for her boys, Henry and Cody, and one for herself too. I had the fun task of consulting on colour combos and swatches as she went. She knit Cody and Henry’s sweaters in the lovely La Bien Aimée in ‘rust’, ‘winterfell’, and some white from stash. Michelle’s sweater is a lovely tweedy yarn from Less Traveled Yarn in ‘mallard’.

We took Henry and Cody and their beautiful sweaters to the beach during our Tofino camping trip this past summer for a little photoshoot. They were positively adorable. Henry would have rather been dancing in the waves, but he put up with us for a few minutes anyways. Once the third sweater was done the trifecta was complete! It is such a joy to see my love of knitting has been passed on.
