There are some patterns you just can’t get enough of. Emily and I have knit the Flax sweater over and over, along with a significant number of Gramps and Antlers. Once we find a favorite, we tend to knit it up again and again. So, what’s our current obsession? Why it’s Love Note, of course!
Knitters far and wide have taken up Love Note with force, and we are right there with them. It’s such a delight to see so many smiling knitters in their Love Note sweaters – the various colour combinations, textures, and modifications all these lovely folks have come up with. Every knitter brings their own unique personality to the pattern, and together we’ve created a virtual rainbow of Love Notes! You can see them all using #LoveNoteSweater on Instagram.

Ready to add your own colour to the kaleidoscope?
If you’re looking to knit a Love Note of your own but have been reticent to get started, we have a full, in-depth Love Note tutorial here.
We also have a tutorial on layering mohair and singles to help you choose your colour strategy. Give it a try and let us know how it goes using #LoveNoteSweater. We can’t wait to see your Love Notes shine!

I rarely wear the few pullovers I’ve knit- I blame my bad body temp regulation system. I’m either freezing or burning up, so a cardigan is a must. That being said, I’m heading to Ravelry to see if there’s any cardigan mods. I do love the look of this top, and I’ve admired it from day 1.

I’ve not seen any cardigan modifications of this one, but you might find one! Happy knitting :) ~ Em

After snorting that I’d never knit that pattern (because of the open work in the bra area) I wound up knitting it three times! The first time I only put in one row of open work. The sweaters are each quite different in weight, length and styling, but they do all incorporate a mohair strand. It’s one of my favorites!

I’ve had this pattern forever in my ravelry library. You are reminding me to finally knit it! Love all the pictures. Thanks for supporting my knitting life, though I haven’t yet moved up to anything stranded. One of these days!
