Collaborative Design Contest Winner

June 1, 2012
Lush Cardigan

And the lucky winner is… drumroll…

I am very excited to announce that this morning I downloaded the list of people who had signed up for my yarn+collaborative design contest (there was a whopping 262 of you!).  Then I went to this random number generator and plugged in 1-262… and what number popped out?  168.

Who was the 168th person to sign up for the contest, you are all dying to know?  Well I can’t wait to meet her!  I have contacted the lucky winner, and once I confirm that she is still on board and wants to work with me, I’ll announce her name, and we will begin our design adventure together!

As we work through from the first decisions – yarn colour, overall concept… to the detailed design – lace patterns, transitions, edgings, – I will be posting about our progress, creating a roadmap with tips and suggestions on the process YOU can follow if you would like to design a lace shawl or stole as well!

Would you like to join in and design a piece alongside us?  Join in on the Tin Can Knits Ravelry group, and post to the forum there, and myself and others will be able to offer feedback, suggestions, and support!  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

June is going to be a very exciting month here at Tin Can Knits…
